Remodeling is inherently stressful. My goal is to take as much of the stress off of your plate as possible.

I want you to enjoy the design process and have fun. I work with contacts across the state to ensure my projects have the best of the best — from the big decisions to the smallest details. My network of industry professionals consider every job the most important and know that it isn't just your home, it's your life.

Working with ALD: What to Expect

Lots of decision making

Any given project has hundred of decisions to make if not more. My job is to streamline the selections process for you to eliminate second guessing, and make all finishes look seamless.

expect the unexpected

Lead times are a moving target and products that we specified months ago might be discontinued when it's time to order. Expect that this will happen at least once on your project. I will do my best to guide you on alternate selections that do not impact your project timeline or compromise the design.

unavoidable delays will occur

Myself, your trade partners and contractor will do everything we can to keep to your construction schedule however construction is not a perfect science. Damaged product seems to be the biggest culprit for delays on projects in the last few years. It's frustrating, but the companies I work with and source from always make things right.

Fast turn around times

During the design process, we'll work together to specify as many selections as possible prior to construction beginning on your project. My most successful projects have been with clients motivated to move through the process efficiently.

unexpected costs will arise

Remodeling is a gamble. Your contractor and I can only plan for what we can see and reasonably expect before construction starts.Once demo has begun and walls are opened up your contractor may recommend additional work or repairs. This is normal and is part of the process of remodeling.

Plan for a flexible budget

Remodeling costs have gone up exponentially in the last few years. I partner with subcontractors who do great work and charge accordingly. It's worth investing in your home to do the work correctly the first time, and get your desired outcome.

Project Process & Stages

Each project is unique. Below is a general guideline of the stages most projects follow. We'll work together to determine a project scope and timeline in our initial meeting.

Phase One: concept development

We'll work together to define your project goals. I'll then develop 1-2 design concepts specifically tailored to your project.

Phase two: design & drafting

Once we have selected a concept, we'll start digging into the design details to make the design a reality.

Phase three: construction

This is the messy part where all of the planning gets put into action.

Phase four: styling & Install

Pulling all of the finishing touches together to make your space feel like home.
